Lazy Jane’s Cafe and Bakery Website

Bring your dog down to this cash-only café and get yourself a classic American breakfast or lunch. Order your food from the counter and grab a spot to sit or take it with you and be on your way. While it may be unconventional, the food is anything but weird. Stop in a snag yourself one of their twenty signature scones or their “chocolate bread.” Never forget, the early bird gets the worm, so make sure you get out of bed and get to brunch early, as they shut their door for the day at two in the afternoon!

Black Locust Café

829 E Washington Ave, Madison, WI 35703

Inside Robinia Courtyard

Tue-Sat 8am-9pm

Sun 8am-8pm

608.478.0110

Black Locust Cafe Website

Black Locust Café is, “a little out of the ordinary,” but that’s, “Just how we like it.” You’ll find a little bit more hospitality here than the majority of coffee shops and cafes in Madison. If you refer to their menu, you will find it’s “omnivore, vegetarian, and vegan-friendly all at once.” Choose from large sandwiches, crepes both “sweet and savory,” breakfast items, and baked treats that change-up with the season, all unique to Black Locust and different compared to the other cafes and coffee shops around Madison. You have to be quick off the draw if you intend to catch a meal, as their kitchen closes at three o’clock, but feel free to swing out after for coffee, kombucha, and beer served until their doors lock at nine, eight o’clock on Sundays. View this PDF to see Black Locust Café’s entire menu. Bring your dog with you and kick back on the luxurious Black Locust Café patio.

Madison Sourdough Website

Madison Sourdough serves the Madison community by creating all their food from the bottom up. They purchase their food from local producers and sources to help stimulate the local economy as well as provide folks with food items that nourish the body as much as they tickle the tastebuds. The kitchen closes at 2:30 pm, so be sure to make your way down early if you intend to order any of their, “bread, pastry, breakfast, and lunch” items to-go. Bring your dog with you and enjoy soaking up the sun on our patio with your best friend.
