What is A Place to Be?
A Place to Be is a space for creatives and activists alike to meet with like-minded individuals to make their ideas come to life. Director, Dr. Jatinder Cheema, was born in India in 1942. She lived through the split of India into two nations, India and Pakistan. She moved around a lot while growing up which makes sense why she has spent thirty-five years working all over the globe. Dr. Cheema has worked in Central and South Asia, Armenia, Afghanistan, and countries throughout Africa. With any time she could spare, she enjoyed talking with women and professionals about leadership and career enhancement. Upon retiring, the idea for A Place to Be was born.
A Place to Discuss World Events
The concept is to provide a space for people to meet and brainstorm around the socio-economic and political happenings in our world today. Likewise, you can make A Place to Be your go-to spot for your non-profit, organization, or even just a forward-set think-tank you may have. Additionally, the space would love to host your next art gallery or acoustic and easy-listening live show. For folks who are employed in a creative position, A Place to Be is a great spot to make your office. Whether it’s your own business or personal goals, A Place to Be can be the home to many things to come.
