Amanda and Matthew Frankewicz are the two masterminds behind #sexyflowers. When they aren’t tending to plants, Amanda is most likely working out, and Matthew is making all of Amanda’s woodworking ideas come to life. In their moments of free time, they can find out and about with their dogs, Maizy and Jack.

As a child, Amanda was always fascinated with flowers. Whether running through the forest or assisting her grandmother in her garden, the precious plants meant a lot to her. As she got older, she would be sure to have flowers for every occasion; birthdays, holidays, and any other reason to celebrate. She could consistently be found with flowers in hand to observe whatever was happening.

Amanda wasn’t content with flowers staying as a free-time hobby; she needed to turn this passion into more. She was proactive and signed herself up for proper instruction in 2009. By 2010, she received her certificate in floral design, and Alluring Blooms was open to the public.

She hasn’t stayed in one spot since the business started, however. Amanda has gotten busy traveling all over the country on the prowl for new methods and extraordinary flowers. She has the privilege of calling some of the best florists in the United States her friends who she loves to learn and gain inspiration from while collaborating.

Amanda and Matthew got bored with the limited floral variety in the local market, so they’ve been pushing to start growing their flowers. The couple worked diligently and planted hundreds of perennials with a large garden cut once each year. Customers can expect tulips and peonies in the spring and dahlias and herbs in the fall. No matter when you choose to pick up some flowers, “you’ll always find some homegrown goodies in your arrangements.”
